Author Bio

 Steven Jackson has performed and taught music for more than four decades.  He is the author of musical compositions (including Serenade for Orchestra, Opus 30, currently a national finalist for the 2025 American Prize in Composition), a music theory textbook for young readers (How Music Works), and two books of poetry.  His music has been performed by the New Arts Sinfonia, Juventas New Music Ensemble, Mount Auburn Arts Ensemble, and Summer Winds Woodwind Quintet. He lives in Watertown, MA.
